Robert, it was actually a different version. Louis recorded the song again for Thiele's Flying Dutchman label in 1970. The album, LOUIS ARMSTRONG AND HIS FRIENDS, is a strange and interesting one--Louis does contemporary songs such as "Give Peace a Chance," "Everybody's Talkin'" (from the film MIDNIGHT COWBOY) and "The Creator Has a Masterplan," along with "The Boy From New Orleans" and "Mood Indigo." Not sure whether the 2002 Bluebird CD reissue is still in print or not, but several copies are still available through Amazon Marketplace.

Years a go I heard a version that had some youths saying something like, "What about war, Pops? That ain't so wonderful." Yet I have never heard it again. Did it get edited out or was that something the radio station did to the original?
